Nine Muscogee County School District teachers have been
selected for the 2019 Harvard Fellows Program.
These teachers will have the opportunity to attend the
prestigious Harvard University Graduate School of Education from July 22- July
26, courtesy of the Muscogee Educational Excellence Foundation (MEEF).
“MEEF’s Harvard Fellows increase the capacity to improve learning for all children by bringing back what they learn at Harvard and sharing it with other teachers,” said Marquette McKnight, MEEF’s Executive Director. “Their classrooms become models based on what they learned; they share with their colleagues at their own schools and others; and they are now the advisory council to Superintendent David Lewis.”
The Fellows are selected from a pool of MCSD Top Ten honorees from the last 10 or more years. Each of the selected teachers will attend the Harvard Graduate program and the “Project Zero Classroom” where they will spend a week with distinguished scholars and innovative teachers from around the world.
