MEDIA RELEASE
The Georgia Milestones Assessment System (GMAS) is an annual test given to students in grades 3 -12. The Georgia Milestones measures how well students have mastered the skills outlined in the state-adopted standards for English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Students in grade 3-8 will take the End of Grade (EOG) and students in 9-12 will take the End of Course (EOC). The End of Course test counts for 20% of a student’s final grade in that course.

The Georgia Milestones Assessment (GMAS) will be administered beginning April 24th and ending May 5th.

For school specific subject test dates and times please contact your student’s school/ view their website.

Helpful tips for success:

  1. Work hard in classes on a daily basis, this is the best way to ensure success on GMAS!
  2. When testing, students should read all instructions and test questions thoroughly
  3. Complete a practice test and be familiar with how the platform will work: http://www.gaexperienceonline.com/
  4. Get a good night’s sleep, and be well rested for testing
  5. Be on time (or a little early) for school
  6. Eat your normal breakfast or arrive at school on time to eat breakfast in the cafeteria!
  7. The days of testing are not the time to try something new for the first time! Our students perform best when they have their normal routine followed!

The mission of the Muscogee County School District is to inspire and equip all students to achieve unlimited potential. For more information, please contact the Office of Communications at 706.748.2034 or communications@muscogee.k12.ga.us.
