Federal Programs

General Information

The Federal Programs department oversees Title I, Title II, Title III and School Improvement Federal Grants.

  • Title I - Provides academic support and resources to schools serving economically disadvantaged students
  • Title II - Provides support to schools in teacher quality and ensuring we have highly qualified teachers in our classrooms
  • Title III - Provides language support to immigrant students and students with limited English proficiency
  • School Improvement - Provides academic support and resources to schools identified by the state as needing improvement

This oversight includes ensuring federal and state guidelines are being followed through developing School Improvement Plans, creating budgets, monitoring expenditures, hiring personnel, monitoring student progress and securing required documentation.
